Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah is an Indian actress, playback performer and musician, who is mostly in Tamil and Malayalam film languages. Her first appearance as an actor was in the Tamil film Pachaikili Muthucharam, and her Malayalam d but with Annayum Rasoolum. Andrea Jeremiah was born in the same Anglo-Indian family at Arakkonam Tamil Nadu.Andrea's father is a lawyer at the Madras High Court. She has one younger sister who lives and works at Leuven Belgium as an assistant to research. Jeremiah was raised near Chennai and attended National Public School and graduated from Women's Christian College. Andrea, who began the classical piano at eight years old, was classified as a "geek" and aspired to be a psychiatric nurse until her board exam in 12th grade. Young Stars, a Jackson Five-style band she joined at age 10 years old, was her starting point for her singing as well as composing music. She was a performer at her college in various performances organized through The Madras Players or EVAM. Andrea was president of the Student Senate at Women's Christian College. Andrea started her career in theatre with Girish Karanad's Nagamandala. Andrea was in the Leo Coffee commercial alongside Shiva. Also, she acted as a character in Podhigai's serial. She's performed all across India. She played a minor role for the Kanda Mudhal finale (2005). After she rendered a song for Gautham Vasudev Menon's Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu he asked her to play as one of the lead female characters in his next film Pachaikili Muthucharam. This film was a film adaptation of James Siegel's novel Derailed with Andrea portraying Kalyani who is a housewife whose husband engages in an affair, and then is threatened with blackmail. Andrea won the role of Kalyani when Simran Shobana Tabu and other actresses were approached. Released in Early the year 2010. In August 2011 Venkat Prabhu launched his multi-starrer Mankatha. She was asked to take on a lesser support role. Annayum Rasoolum directed by Rajeeev Ravi, the romantic comedy film that she debuted in Malayalam in, was released on August 11, 2013.
