Lis Wiehl (born August 19, 1959) is an American author, and former legal analyst for Fox News.
She currently serves as an adjunct professor of law of law at New York Law School. Prior to that she was an associate professor of University of Washington Law School. She was a legal commentator on Bill O'Reilly's radio show and National Public Radio. She appears weekly on The O'Reilly Factor. The Kelly File with Megyn Kelly. Lou Dobbs this evening. The Imus Morning Show. It's the Legal Lis Radio Show and Wiehl of Justice Podcast.
Wiehl was born and raised in Yakima and went to West Valley High School. She received her bachelor's degree from Barnard College, followed by a master of arts in literature from the University of Queensland, in 1985.
Wiehl served as prosecutor at the US Attorney's office. She was a legal correspondent to NPR's All Things Considered. She served as the "deputy chief investigatory attorney for Democrats in the House Judiciary Committee" during Clinton's administration. Her tenure at University of Washington School of Law Seattle began in 1995 through 2001. She was the director of the school's Trial Advocacy Program. Wiehl worked as a Fox News Legal Analyst from 2001 until 2017.
